Upon enrolling in ID Watchdog Plus, we will have you complete an idCHECK assessment, which generates an identity risk score and Identity Profile Report. Why is this critical?
The results of the idCHECK assessment will provide a baseline from which any other record changes are measured. The Identity Profile Report will present traces of your identity that we have detected across thousands of databases. We will ask that you review these records to indicate which files you recognize or do not recognize. On a regular basis, we will comb these same databases for your identity information. If we determine from our monitoring no changes have occurred, we’ll notify you that your records are safe. In the event we do detect changes in your baseline, we will notify you and ask that you review the new files so it can be determined if this is recognized.
In most cases, the new records will have occurred due to events such as applying for a loan or credit. With these scenarios, you can not the files are recognized and we will add this to your Identity Profile. As new records are identified, you will notice your Risk Evaluation score will appear as “Unknown Risk,” which will serve as an indicator you have records to review before the system can update your identity risk score.
In the event the new data is unfamiliar and suspicious, you may call our Identity Protection Specialist, or note the record as unrecognized and we will contact you to determine the appropriate next steps. If necessary, we will initiate extensive reporting which will tell us in greater detail about the activities in question through our ID SnapShot. If it is determined resolution is required, your identity protection team will utilize our ID Rehab resolution services until the problem is resolved.
While we are agressively monitoring your personal information, we suggest you take the time to browse the exclusive resources only available in your Identity Management Dashboard.
